Dogknows was one of the first professional dog walking business in London (probably in the UK) and set out with a single philosophy. To put dogs needs first. With this one single goal and by understanding why dogs do what they do, the benchmark was naturally set high.
The principles on which Dogknows is founded are transparency, kindness, straightforwardness and consistency. To achieve this we need to have procedures in place and be able to evaluate our work.
Our professional standards have been thoroughly reviewed and approved by two major industry organisations whose codes of conduct we adhere to.
These are the British Franchise Association and The Animal Behaviour & Training Council. Together these two organisations give peace of mind that our business processes and dog welfare practices are ethical and reach the highest industry standards.
Dogknows is proud to have been recognized as a Practitioner Organisation for the Animal Behaviour and Training Council and as such, can offer franchisees the potential to become a registered Animal Training Instructors.
The Animal Behaviour and Training Council is the regulatory body that represents animal trainers and animal behaviour therapists to both the public and to legislative bodies. It is the only animal welfare charity that is primarily concerned with protecting the psychological welfare of animals undergoing training and behaviour activities.
It sets and maintains the standards of knowledge and practical skills needed to be an animal trainer, training instructor or animal behaviour therapist, and it maintains the national registers of appropriately qualified animal trainers and animal behaviourists.
It promotes the welfare of animals in their interactions with humans, lobbying for humane methods in training and behaviour modification, and for the education of the animal owning public.
Dogknows is an Associate Member of The British Franchising Association, providing reassurance that we operate at the highest standard within the franchising industry.
Our franchise processes have been scrutinized and approved and continue under review.
If you are considering joining a franchise operation, it is advisable that you do so with the knowledge that the franchisor is part of the BFA.
